This could be dangerous territory. I am a person with lots on my mind but generally timid of tongue. I’m the shrinking wallflower at parties when I used to try to attend such events, my ex can probably vouch for this. But please don’t even ask her about those days….
So getting my opinions out there seems like stepping onto crusty lava and seeing if I sink in, or not….
I will try to keep this politically-free, as I know going into that field is fraught with danger and surely prone to alienating those who might otherwise enjoy the visuals. And, although the older I get, the more vehement my political opinions might be, I also consider the overall environment of the mass political spectrum seems to be more divided and acerbic than ever before, which I will state, is a slippery slope that should be mended. I used to be more politically verbal in my opinions because it seemed to be more civil to have a discourse of opinions and talk about those differences, and my art reflected it. But now it just seems like everybody is shouting and fighting each other without really understanding the underlying principles. It’s all about following one’s own opinion reflection, without considering the deeper meaning behind the other person’s intentions. Public perception/media hype versus personal reflection and research. Which is a subject for future blog posts.
Other than that, I will try to make further blog entries just about art, ideas, current happenings with my own projects, and maybe a note about my personal life and a recipe or two.
I’m pretty casual like that.
